Heart of Texas Workforce Commission Grant Presentation

Mr. Aaron Demerson, Director of Office of Employer Initiatives with Texas Workforce Commission, traveled to Teague, to present the Texas Workforce Commission Dual Credit Equipment Only Grant. This grant provided equipment for Teague ISD students to use, during their Dual Credit Welding classes, that will help them achieve their certification qualifications.

Mr. Thomas Cannon was presented with the Mirabeau Buonaparte Lamar award, from Teague Boggy Masonic Logde #739.
There were four recipients of the Boggy Logde Scholarships. Those students were Jazmin Morales, Lauren Doggett, Zack Satterwhite and Wes Silar. Ivan Zambrano was the recipient of the Jim Jorden Memorial Scholarship.
The Lamar Award of Excellence is presented to an outstanding educator, or student. This award was established in 1988, under the leadership of Grand Master Graham Childress.
