I believe that the Teague schools are some of the best in the area. Our staff is highly motivated, very professional,
and excellent role models for the students entrusted to us.

Mr. Burns has been the Teague ISD superintendent for the past 8 years. He has over 30 years of educational
experience as a teacher and principal as well as superintendent. Mr. Burns is an active member of our local
Veterans Remembrance Park of Teague and the Teague Rotary Club. He is married to Doris Burns who is
employed as one of the High School secretaries.

Business Manager
Mrs. Mary Clary Smith

Mrs. Clary-Smith has been with Teague ISD for 15 years. She has been the business manager since 2003.
Along with her banking experience she has over 30 years in finance and accounting.
Mrs. Smith is married to Earnest Smith and she's the grandmother of seven grandchildren.
She is a member of the Rotary Club of Teague and is also a very active member of the community.

Mr. Bryan Clemmons

Mr. Clemmons joined the Teague ISD family in May ’08. Mr. Clemmons has a wonderful wife, Tammy,
who is currently teaching 7th grade Science at Teague Junior High and has two great kids,
one who attends Teague Intermediate and one who attends Teague Elementary.

Mr. Clemmons grew up in a family of educators. His dad is a retired superintendent and his
mother is a retired teacher. Bryan wanted to follow in their footsteps because he sees , and understands,
the importance of having quality people in the field of education.
He has been a teacher / coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal – all at the Junior High and
High School levels. He and his family love the Teague community and schools, and he looks
forward to his children graduating from Teague High School .
Mr. Clemmons serves on the board of directors of the Teague Chamber of Commerce
and is a member of the Rotary Club. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities with his family.
